HOW CAN YOU HELP?

Skateboarding isn't easy.  While it comes more naturally to some, for most people it takes time and effort to get comfortable enough to start attempting the kind of tricks you see all over social media. As with anything new, the best thing to do is start from the beginning....

We'll start with the basics:

- The correct stance for you and foot placement.

- Balancing on the board.

- How to push, turn and confidently stop.

- How to ride up and down ramps.

- Dropping in on quarter pipes.

- Basic tricks such as Shuv-its, Ollies and more.

We appreciate that everyone learns at different rates, and our sessions are designed to allow flexibility, meaning that those who learn a skill quickly can move on to more difficult variations, while others can spend more time to refine it.

Through of this we maintain our core principles:

- Safety:

Such as how to use pads correctly to minimise risk, and how to fall                        correctly (you will at some point).

- Progression

Taking a structured approach so that your trick-bag increases in a                        measured way, and not spending hours on things you can't achieve.

- Having fun

The most important bit of all !

NEW CHALLENGES

We understand that if you are new to Skateboarding, the idea of going to a Skatepark to learn can be a bit intimidating. At Worcester Skate we focus on the basics to get you rolling and give you the confidence to begin building the skills you need.

We run both Adult and Kids group sessions, and can accommodate parents and children who want to learn together. We also do private lessons if preferred.

Our sessions run from local parks in Worcester and the surrounding areas during quiet periods, meaning you don't have to dodge those fast moving skaters that already have their skills underway. Our aim is to get you to the point of 'self-learning' where you feel confident to go out on your board and begin to learn tricks yourself.

One of the best things about this hobby is that there is always something new to achieve - come and join us to enter into the never ending process of learning that is Skateboarding.

INSTRUCTORS:

Our instructors are certified to teach by Skateboard GB (the UK national governing body), are insured and have been DBS checked.

Not only that, we're on our own journey of progression, at varied levels.

There has been a rise in recent times of people who are relatively new to the sport picking up students and starting to teach when they aren't hugely experienced themselves. Although it may be true that you don't have to be able to do something in order to be able to teach it, we think it certainly helps! It's not just about standing there saying 'do this and do that', it's about showing that it's possible, and interactively working with the students to help their progression.

Between us, we have decades of experience riding skateboards.
