FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

WHERE IS THE PARK GOING TO BE?

We don't know yet - we need a building. Obviously it'll be in Worcester, and we'd like it to be close to the train stations, have parking etc, but we may have to start with what we can get. If you know of somewhere, let us know through the 'How you can help' page.

WILL YOU BE HIRING STAFF?

Absolutely - once the park is open we'll be advertising, but in the meantime if there's something you can do to help the project, just let us know through the 'How you can help' page.

WHAT OBSTACLES AND FEATURES WILL BE IN THE PARK?

We have lists upon lists of what we want! But, in reality, we'll probably have to start small and build it up. Please don't send us your park designs at this stage, we promise that we'll do some polls and community engagement when the time comes - make sure you subscribe to our newsletter below to keep up to date on this. All we can say is that we definitely want a Mini ramp suitable for beginners, and a hip / fun box type arrangement, as these are sorely missing from the local outdoor parks.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST TO VISIT?

We don't know yet. We'll keep it as low as possible. Some parks around the UK charge as little as £6-9 for a couple of hours, and others are more like £20 a session, which is a bit excessive unless you have a huge facility. We plan to do free sessions for disadvantaged groups, special events, and grant funded sessions.

WILL IT CATER TO ALL WHEELED SPORTS?

That's the plan, but we may have to limit it to start with based on size. If it's a small park then it's likely we won't be able to put large BMX sized ramps in - long term though, yes we want to be fully inclusive.

WILL YOU HAVE HIRE EQUIPMENT?

Yes, this is already underway for the Skateboard side of things. Scooters and so on will follow.

WILL YOU HAVE SKATEBOARD ONLY / SCOOTER ONLY etc SESSIONS?

That is the plan - some sessions will be open, but there will be certain weeknight sessions for specific equipment. There will also be regular monthly sessions for women only, LGBTQ and others.

WHEN CAN WE EXPECT TO SEE THE PARK OPEN?

How long is a piece of string? The main obstacle is securing a premises. Once we have that it might happen very quickly, so if you know of one that we could use make sure you let us know on the 'How you can help' page.
